Kristina Cornell’s raw, real and fresh approach penetrates the soul, pounding her passionate rocking-roots country onto the scene.  She has a personality that is warm and easy going and her infectious laugh and witty humor are as unforgettable as her voice.  Kristina teamed with Dave Gibson of the legendary Gibson Miller Band to guide her Lofton Creek album debut.  Her album, “It’s a Girl Thing” found Kristina collaborating with a successful round of songwriters, penning six songs on the release. Kristina has written with many talented writers including Billy Dean (Curb Records artist), Brad Martin (former Sony/BMG artist), Daisy Dern (former Mercury Records artist), Jimmie Lee Sloas, Jimmy Yeary, Phil Madera and many others. “My songs were written as I encountered real life issues. The key was to face it with a lot of laughter!” giggled Kristina as she flashed that fabulous smile before adding her defining snort. The youngest of four, Kristina was raised in the small Mount Pleasant community outside of Pittsburgh, PA.  Her tight knit family offered much German and Italian culture due to her parent’s heritages.  When her family relocated to Nashville due to her father’s early retirement, Kristina quickly jumped into the music industry.  She signed a publishing agreement and secured representation at a modeling and talent agency in just a few weeks.  She landed acting roles in videos for Terri Clark, Vince Gill, Travis Tritt, and many other leading acts.  “Performing is all I know how to do,” says Kristina.  “Seeing three and a half minutes of music change someone’s life means everything.” Kristina has taken stage across the nation including a segment with Disney Cruise Lines and a radio tour spanning the south and east coasts.  Lofton Creek’s label president Mike Borchetta stated, “Her voice and songs are so unique and appealing, like no other in Nashville.”  The current album is a diverse combination of songs.  It includes heart-felt ballads such as the first single, “Little Red Balloon” which was inspired by the September 11th tragedy.  In contrast, it also includes several up-tempo enjoying-life anthems such as  “It’s a Girl Thing” and “Real Man”.  Wynonna Judd, Bonnie Raitt, Tammy Wynette, Patty Loveless, and K.T. Oslin are just a few of the female powerhouses that impacted Kristina’s sound. With an enduring, phenomenal work ethic and energy, Kristina’s genuine talent is determined to peel through the packaged talent of the entertainment industry.   “Life ain’t no dress rehearsal,” says Kristina.  “We get one go round…make it good and be happy!”
