Tommy Townsend grew up in a little town tucked back in the Blue Ridge Mountains called Blairsville, GA. Tommy began playing drums at age five. He started playing guitar at age thirteen and formed his own band. Eventually he became friends with Waylon Jennings and his longtime bass guitarist, Jerry Bridges. Waylon and Jerry began working with Tommy in the studio.  Their hard work resulted in a 2003 album release. "Southern Man," the title cut off the cd, jumped to number 21 in the Texas market and continues to do well in Europe.        Darryl Lee O'Donnell grew up in a small town just outside of Chambersburg called Dry Run, PA. Darryl began playing guitar, banjo and singing at an early age. He played in local bands through his high school years at fairs and festivals all over Pennsylvania. After moving to Nashville, Darryl began playing rhythm guitar and singing background for country acts such as Tracy Lawrence, Bobbie Cryner, Weisley Dennis and Jerry Kilgore.         Tommy and Darryl began working together four years ago.  They started playing at some nightclubs around Nashville and began writing songs with some of Nashville's top songwriters. They formed the duo “Townsend and O'Donnell” almost two years ago. Their distinctive, tight harmonies came about from working together five nights a week.  Their hard work has paid off, bringing them to where they are today.  Raul Malo of “The Mavericks” caught wind of the duo and has currently produced some sides along with Grammy winning songwriter Bobby E. Boyd, co writer of "Bless The Broken Road."  "Cowboys Want It (Cowgirls Got It)” is the first single from this talented duo.  They are currently putting the finishing touches on their debut album.
