Chris didn’t know he was going to make singing his life’s work. But, his father knew when Chris was small leaving his prophecy for Chris to find, later, after he died. When Chris was 21, his father died of cancer. Months after this tragic event, he had an overwhelming urge to leave his Missouri roots and head for Nashville, TN, to pursue a singing career. After four years of soaking up music wisdom in Nashville, he returned to Missouri to help his mom move from his childhood home. In the process of moving, his mother found an old tablet that his father had written a short story about a time when Chris was a little boy. In that story, he predicted that Chris would become a famous rock-n-roll singer. This was a surprise and shock to Chris that his father had the intuition of him, in fact, pursuing a music career. Smiling inside,Chris realized his dream would be country music instead of rock-n-roll. But, music careers take strange twists and turns. After returning to Missouri, during which time he married and started a construction business, Chris still found time to perform at several live shows. Yet, he was still determined to make singing his life’s career. Pursuing what his father saw so many years ago, Chris was lead back to Nashville. There, after several production deals that yielded no fruit, he met veteran music producer, Brien Fisher, who made his mark in the industry with several known artists. Brien took a liking to Chris and they immediately started planning Chris’ future in the music business. Chris has a love for many things including music, college football and racing. Above all, he loves helping less fortunate families struggling with expenses throughout the year especially during the holidays. After the loss of his father, Chris became a member of the national cancer society and formed The Michael D. Johnson Miracles and Dreams Foundation, a non-profit organization for children with cancer. Chris has been blessed with a wife and two daughters both contributing to his first Christmas album “Country Christmas.” He appreciates the support of his family which include his older brother as his best friend, his mother and sister. Chris is excited about future opportunities to perform and record his music while meeting new people during his anticipated, long-lasting career in the tough and competitive country music industry. His passion expands pass singing and performing to creating the sound and style of his “Gettin’ Ready To Fly” career set to launch in January 2009 with the single Rockin‘ Robin, a country twist to a rock-n-roll classic. Ironically, could have Chris’ father’s early intuition been, in fact, dead on?
